The Marcus Lawrence is reportedly signing a three year guaranteed deal the Dallas cowboys. What an offseason it has been for the Dallas cowboys, especially for a long time defensive end to Marcus Lawrence. Forest Lawrence was said to be a CAP casualty due to his large capit. Then he was asked to take a pay cut, which you initially declined, and the last week Ed warder reported at the defender wasn't going anywhere. On Monday, the cowboys proved him that was correct. The team reportedly signed lawrants to a three year, forty million dollar extension. Ian Rep report said that thirty million of the deal is fully guaranteed. NFL's Tom Pellicero noted that Lawrence is now the first offense have been in league history to have seven straight seasons of his...

...contract fully guaranteed, even though we initially declined to pay cup. Lawrence's restructor restructured contract certainly differed from the nineteen million he was set to make before the new deal. According to Janes later, there's a voidable year in the contract, but the important thing is that the new contract saves Dallas millions of dollars. Initially, Lawrences paycheck for two thousand and twenty two was supposed to count his twenty seven million against the cap. Is New. Fourteen million hit against the camp save the cowboys thirteen million this year. Lawrence has been an integral and long standing presence on the Dallas Defense. He's played all eight of his pro years with the cowboys since they drafted him in the second round of the two thousand and fourteen and I fell draft. Since then, defensive end has a massed a total of two interceptions, seventeen force fumbles, forty eight point five sacks, three hundred twenty one total tackles, seventy four tackles for a loss and a hundred quarterback hits. Last season, the Boise state product sustained...

...a broken foot in week one but returned strongly December after his injury. He talent twenty one tackles, three sacks, five passes defended to four s bumbles in one interception. He earned himself an impressive PF grade of ninety one for last year. To spart despite the injury break, Lawrence is a clear fan favorite that the cowboys nation will be thrilled to have bad a defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn, who Lawrence has repeatedly praised, will also be glad to have a veteran presence return to give the defense some continuity. Moving into two thousand and twenty two, and now on to our next topic. Randy Gregory has been resigned. To say the Dallas Galways offseason got off to a less than promising start would be a comprehensive understatement. Trading a Muri Cooper to Cleveland for fifth round pick was a questionable piece of business, but the moves that have...

...fallen and I've been, dare we say, encouraging. It started by extending the Marcus Lawrence which, we said, gave the front office newfound cap space to throw around, saving the cowboys thirteen million dollars. First Up, resigning Randy Gregory, who was said to have a Puthora of teams interested in his services. After Resurgent Two thousand and twenty one, he reported, market hinted that Dallas would have to pay a premium to keep him around. And then e's exactly how things played out. According the espings Adam shafter, Gregory's deal is worth seventy million over five years and includes twenty eight million guaranteed. If these numbers are accurate, that means lawrences pay cut directly led the Gregory's resigning. That's a remarkably impressive display of leadership and selflessness from the cabboret cowboys two time pro bowler. While fourteen million annally might see like an overpay for a...

...player who's never compiled more than six at sacks in a season over his career, the twenty eight million guaranteed is what really matters. In gregorly only figures to become more productive after he played a career high fifty five percent in the snaps last season. Once viewed as a glaring weakness hitting the offseason, the cowboys pass rush for two thousand and twenty two is now locked in, loaded with Lawrence Gregory and raining defensive rookie of the year, Mike of Parsons, all returning for Dan Quinn. Just one day after reports that the team is making a trade with the browns for wide receiver Mury Cooper, the cowboys are now allegedly signing malog Michael Gallop to a massive deal. The NFL's in rap report reported that...

...the team is giving the current, currently hurt receiver five year contract was sixty two point five million. Gallop was set to hit free agency this offseason after his rookie contract with the team expired. Now it seems he will be staying in Dallas for a while. The Colorado state product was the third round pick in the two thousand and eighteen and I felt draft. In his time with Dallas, he's remained a crucial part of the wide receiver core, making acrobatic plays and key moments. Gallup has been a consistent deep threat for deck and four season at the cowboys, Gallop has collected a hundred ninety three catches, twenty nine hundred yards in fifteen touchdowns. This highly lucrative contract may be a surprise to some, given the two thousand and twenty one season was filled challenges for Gallop. Receiver Miss Seven Games the calf injury at the beginning of the year. Then he tore his ACL catching a touchdown in the week seventeen contest against the cardinals, knocking him out for the final regular season game and the team's short lived post season appearance. Want you'd think the team would exercise caution...

...on a player who had multiple injuries in the previous season. The positive outlook for gallops post surgery recovery may have played a factor in this contract. Gallop went underwent surgery for his ACL on February ten, less than two weeks later. PFF S, Thug Kid, hopefully I'm saying that right, reported that the cowboy was expected to be a hundred percent by August. This felt like a shockingly fast recovery window, given the mail clinic says that ACL injuries take anywhere from eight to twelve months to fully heal. Clearly the front office felt good enough about gallops outlook in future to sign him to this large of a contract. While the deal has not been made official by the Cowboys Organization, Dallas Morning News reported that twenty seven million, or of the over sixty two million deal, is guaranteed, with my am and Gallop likely staying in Dallas. Who will take Cooper's place in the wide receiver tree? Said Drake Wilson,...

...free agent draft e only time will tell. And on to the next topic. Three players who shined at the NFL combine for the Dallas Cowboys. The combine has come to close and the Dallas cowboys saw many Greek performances from some of the drafts top prospects. But the twenty four overall pick in the first round it free agency questions still up in the air. It's hard to know who exactly will land with Dallas. The cowboys may not know it now, but their first round selection was somewhere on that field in Indianapolis amongst the Kow boys top draft needs, you will find the offensive line, defensive line, linebacker and wide receiver. Players from each of these positions showed they are deserving the twenty fourth overall pick. But for this segment on, only chose three players that truly impressed Dallas the most. So let's dive in and see.

...who was a change to be the newest cowboy. Number three, Bernard Raymond, offensive tackle from Central Michigan. Paul and Chie's for saying these names wrong. The cowboys need to start thinking about the future of their offensive line. Selecting Bernard would be a great place to begin. The central Michigan product dominated the combout combine, showcasing his elite lets mm. He's an interesting, interesting prospect, as he was a tight end at central Michigan, as recently has two thousand and twenty, he transformed a six six frame into a three hundred three pound offensive tackle. His quick feet from his former position make him stand out amongst other lineman heading into the draft. The cowboys decided to select him, it will be because of his immense upside. After only eighteen career starts at left tackle, he's already considered a first round caliber player. Just...

...think about how good he could be after a few years of NFL coaching. Most oppressive parts of the combine showing where is five, five second, forty yards, thirty bench press reps, the thirty five put, five vertical jump. He showed explosiveness and strength, which are rare traits for a left tackle, and set himself apart from the crown, which will surely have several teams looking at his talent. In the final six games of his college career he did not allow a single pressure and he only allowing ten during the whole season. For a team like the cowboys, who need a future stun left tackle, he may he certainly impressed at the combine. Now let's take a look at another linebacker, number two, Christian Harris, from Alabama. Alabama has been a breeding ground for NFL talent and that is no different this year. LINEBACKER Christian Harris looks to be the next Great Alabama defensive player, and its...

...combine performance only improved his draft stock. Harris ran a four point four, four second forty yards, and that time makes plenty of sense with how quickly he moves sideline to sideline. His speed also helps him in coverage, where you can match up with both running backs and tight ends. The cowboys clearly need linebacker help, with Layton, vainderish and others likely exiting. Taking Harrison the second round would be a slam dunk. Comparing him with Mike a Parsons would get Dallas and athletic do that can make plays all over the field. Yelmabama product does not have great instincts, which means he should be in a role where you can just see ball hit Paul the cowboys shoes. Harrison put him in positions to succeed. You can end up being a steal on day two. Dan Quinn would certainly be able to help him develop into a high caliber pro linebacker. And finally, at number one, Jordan Davis, defensive...

...tackle from Georgia. Stating at six six laying three hundred forty one pounds, Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis should not be able to move the way he did at the combine. The defensive tackle blew up on social media for his impressive size and ability. Davis clocked in with a four point seventy eight second forty yards and at ten three broad jump, both of which are got combine records by a player over three hundred ten pounds since two thousand and six. He did an Indie Shirley caught the eyes of several organizations. For a player that was seen as a run stuffer with not much pass rushability, he showed the explosiveness that is needed from an interior defender to get to the quarterback. This past season, Davis had thirty two total tackles two secs. While his production it's not jump off the charts, his impact is impressive. Davis has combine performance was arguably the most impressive for any defensive player ever. Davis helped himself...

...more than anyone that was in indied this past week. He is a surefire first round pick, but could you drop all the way to Dallas? Dallas at twenty four over all, seems rather unlikely that Davis will be available for the cowboys, but they could always straight up to take one of the most athletic defensive tackles in recent history. Adding this big guy could have a huge and lasting impact on the Dallas cowboys. Let us know your thoughts on the topics we covered. Leave a comment the comment section below or send us a tweet.
